DIY: Postage Stamp Paper Removal
When I was a little girl I spent a great deal of time organizing my stamp collection. I had a few penpals and I would save every single stamp that came my way. I got older and stamps became less interesting and in time they ended up in one of my boxes designated “childhood.” While I was cleaning I discovered a treasure trove of used stamps! I am debating if I want to decoupage a key rack or a table top with them.
I had a fun time getting the stamps off of the paper too. I used to do it once a week as a kid. Here is how you can remove them safely for use in crafting projects or collecting.
Bouquet
J was so incredibly sweet and I received “Just Because” flowers and sushi a few days ago. Those are always the best kind — completely unexpected and not because a holiday compels you to buy them. Anyway, I’ve refrained taking photos for a few days since all of the flowers hadn’t opened, but I finally got around to it. They are absolutely gorgeous and are imbued with almost neon colors. I would love to get some of these blown up for my wall but my hand was a little shakey with the macro. I’ll take more in a few days and the press a few before they begin to lose their color. I love flowers.

New Beginning!
Hark, a new blog! Is there nothing more refreshing in the realm of the world wide web? Well, I am sure we could think of some things, but I am going to pretend that this is a worthwhile endeavor so I can continue to put off my growing pile of work… So how does one make an introductory post without sounding totally cheesy?
I’m going to be honest. My track record with blogs is not so hot. I always have some really great and innovative idea, I spend hours designing the interface and editing the CSS templates, I think out my blogging game plan, and then… Kaput. So this time around, I think I’m doing it right. I’m using a default wordpress template, a slightly edited header, and I have no plan. We are riding on the blogger freeway with no map and I think things will turn out better in the end.
I’ll spare you with the details of my life and leave that for the “About” section and after this post, we’ll jump in head first. Welcome to fabric8.wordpress.com
